In 2016 Alejandro Aravena, a Chilean Architect won the Pritzker prize. Most architecture concearns itself with SPACE, the useful stuff inside buildings. By contrast, he made buildings that invert this ratio where the solid appears to outweigh the void. It’s just an idea, but pushes brutalism to a new place.
