Flamingo Observation Tower
We designed this structure as a flamingo observation tower in the Abu Dhabi wetlands, United Arab Emirates.
It is a modular stack of similar table structures that overlap and use single, double and triple height columns.
The improbable slenderness and top heavy viewing platforms draws inspiration from the frame and form of the flamingo birds.
The concrete building was designed with Atelier One, structural engineers in London.
